I just, am so tired.  tbh I like this gif I made last semester way more so here

Weight

Kind of a rushed project, definitely running out of steam for the semester. I really could not for the life of me figure out how to do a slow yet uniform scallop swivel for the bottom of the ghost. The podium should be lower, the pumpkin could have been timed wooble and should slide slightly to the left when hit. Oh well, Happy Halloweenie. PS. stop asking why the ghost is mad at aa pumpkin, she just is alright

Head Turning Animation (Kali go brrrr)

Image
This was something I was so proud of to turn in at the time. All the new announcements about Kpop group K/DA was coming out so I had to do my favorite Akali. She is the epitome of cool so I wanted to make her head turn as if she noticed you and posing for a photo.  I started with just bare minimum to make sure my idea wasn't obnoxious and I honestly felt like I could take it on. But oh boy... About four hours of lining the head and the start of some hair pieces. I knew there was burnout ahead of me. In the end, I would have to completely restart to fix my mountain of mistakes but I feel better equip to tackle a character again. Maybe someone with less crazy hair...

Overcoming the Flour Sack - The basics of animating emotion & gestures

Image
Our project for this week began with creating a drawing of a flour sack in various poses. The challenge really became apparent when you couldn't push facial features and the limited range as to which a 'Flour Sack' could stretch.  I was embarrassed during our class critic cause my posed Flour Sack looked more like a raw chicken while others had cute lovable blobs.  I started working with this idea mostly because I had just woken up for class even though it was noon and I really wanted to just ditch and make breakfast. Turned out this gave me a lot of energy to get it done fast cause I flew through this project after I received my crits on this rough draft.

Overlapping Action and Motion Media Graphics

Image
This project introduced Motion Media animation techniques in addition to the frame by frame. One neat trick I learned was to add a basic shape and move it with the motion media to get an accurate time frame, then created a new drawing layer and did frame by frame.
