Baby Steps in Harmony

Baby Steps in Harmony Aug.25      Yesterday, on August 24th, I had the pleasure of attending my first virtual animation class of the semester. While most of the class we spent getting to know one another but we received a brief introduction to the software. Initially it's a lot to take in but, once you get past the initial shock, it doesn't stray to far from programs I am more familiar with like Adobe Aftereffects.      I wanted to try getting comfortable with some of the new key-binds, so I did a couple practice runs of a looping gif.       My first pass I created a drawing layer and used the brush tool to just write the word hello. On a second drawing layer, I then used the pen tool and wrote each letter on a separate frame using Shift+Alt+D.     I then went ahead and created a new layer and attempted to segment each letter within two frames. Blog Response to Riot Games Visual Design Dev Insights Aug. 23 Emily Hughes Complementary Visual Design in Spirit Blossom   Jul 21, 2020 Riot Games        League of Legends  is a popular online game that I hold very near and dear to my heart. Working for Riot Games in art and design is my top dream job which I gush about in literally all my scholarship, self-reflect, and career papers. Recently, I have discovered artists and writers at the company have their own section of blog/dev ask posts that pertain to the artistic development of their game and world. I also thought it was amazing that so many bodies could have such a cohesive...

My Introduction Aug. 23

My Introduction This is kind of weird because I can’t think of an opening sentence that doesn’t start with ‘hello’. Anyways, I am a Senior in the USF Fine Arts Bachelor degree and specializing in animation/digital arts or basically whatever USF admins wanna call it this year. I’ve been absolutely dying to get into these more specialized courses after many hours of traditional basics classes. I guess the most important things to learn for me would be a how to start process. I think perhaps if we could touch on motivation, and completion of projects I would appreciate that as I often struggle to continue when my own projects don’t match my taste level. I will admit, I’m a bit rusty of any art practice as for the last several months since May 2020, I have been just working Full-Time and crashing at my desk to play video games. I tend to get frustrated with myself when things don’t come out how I envisioned but I promise I will always try. Hopefully, with college being back in s...
